Consulting and Technology Commercialisation
KKI provides consultancy and technico-economic studies in science/technology commercialisation and finance. Our clients include technologists, development organisations, potential investors and research organisations.
Many business people do not feel comfortable with technological projects. Most technologists have little experience in finance and business management, many financial advisors do not have a background in technology. The result is poor project risk assessment, high 'hurdle' rates of return on technology ventures, and good ideas either not being supported or being poorly developed. KKI can bridge this gap in a number of ways:
- take a technological capability, identify market opportunities, and turn it into a viable commercial proposition;
- carry out feasibility studies and risk appraisals for entrepreneurs or investors;
- write and appraise business plans for technology-driven ventures;
- assess potential market opportunities and requirements for new technologies.
We have particular strengths in:
- Technologies dependent on chemical processes (which includes much of the life sciences and green technology)
- Economic modelling of complex issues
- Projects where tactful probing of sensitive or significant issues is required
Since 1994, KKI has carried out approximately 150 assignments in the area of technology inception, development, and commercialisation.
